Ah, summer vacay. I’m pretty sure I’ve been dreaming of this exact moment since last December. The ocean waves, the beautiful shells, tropical prints and drinks, and of course, wonderful time spent with family.
ALFS will be taking a bit of a break for the week but in case you want a little fun reading, here are a few things to keep you occupied. Oh and of course, happy Friday!
Want to be completely freaked out? Read this.
Have you made caprese chicken yet this summer? If not, get it on your meal plan next week.
The peaches at Costco have arrived and they are glorious. Perfect use for my grilled peach salsa which is absolutely divine, by the way. Love making big batches and using as hostess gifts.
When I get back in town I am so making this.
Absolutely love the feed back I got about this motherhood post. I hope you all realize how much your comments and questions mean to me. I still go through days when I think ‘huh, is anyone actually reading this?’ Oh but you are. And I love the messages. Thank you.
I CANNOT stop eating these. Obsessed. (Psst – another great hostess gift during the summer. I stocked up! And then ate most of them, whoops).
I cannot tell you how many compliments I get on this swimsuit. My prints are no longer available (striped & floral) but there is a fresh new batch to pick from. One woman at the pool literally made me find her the suit on her phone she loved it that much! Something so elegant about an exposed shoulder…
Details on picking basil. Good to know.
I really want to be the cool mom that makes these this summer.
The fourth is just around the corner! How cute is this tee paired with some denim shorts and white converse? Parade look, done!
And lastly, a quote from Lindsay Letters who’s work I love so dearly. She states ‘here’s to pushing the ‘reset’ button. To days of adventures, and to days of lazy. Here’s to making bucket lists as a source of inspiration not of obligation (Amen). Here’s to enjoying the SIMPLE things. Here’s to longer days and more time to enjoy the people we love. Here’s to summer.’
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m slowly learning while I love summer with all my very being, the sometimes much longer days spent with the kids running here and there and everywhere can lend to summer seeming to slip away from my very fingertips. Most days I don’t know what day it actually is and wait, it’s almost July? Not ok. Hoping to press a massive reset button on this trip and come back ready to embrace the lazy side a bit more than the adventure side.
