Oh my goodness. After a week filled with sunshine and family fun, now I’m back in my (new!) kitchen. I am one happy gal! Let’s do this.
On Sunday night, I’m going all out. I have to give that new oven a run for its money. A perfect roast chicken, tender and browned potatoes on the stove, and a mixed green salad complete with whatever is fresh at the market, all tossed up with this dressing. Dad? I hope you’re hungry.
On Monday night, M is in Vegas and L is rocking the baseball field in the All Star game. That means a quick dinner for us, including hot dog melts. The boys gobble these up.
Aaaaaaaand just when you think baseball is over, it’s time to start a mini travel league! That means another quick cooking dinner is in order for Tuesday night. BLT sliders are a perfect way to make the whole team – er, family – happy. There isn’t a better time to make them than in the dead of summer.
I have been aching, aching, to make this perfect for summer recipe. Think cherry tomatoes, basil, corn. Can’t wait to get it going on the beast of a stove for Wednesday night.
I haven’t made pasta in forever. Time to make M happy with this one on Thursday night.
And that brings us to Friday. And to what I crave all winter long.
I’m so happy to be back in my kitchen and sharing my weekly menu plan! Why not share yours in a comment below! What’s cooking in your kitchen this week?

These all sound amazing! I went a little crazy at the farmer’s market last week, so I’m going to be cooking up a lot of veg this week! Sooooo happy it’s summer!

Not sure what I’ll be making this week but got a great haul from the CSA. Meatless Monday is sure to be something with the Swiss Chard and maybe the garlic scapes? At the lake all week which means pasture fed beef and pork so grilling is definitely in order.
Fired up the grill tonight for salmon burgers with an ear of corn and fresh salad.
Enjoy the new kitchen and can’t wait to see it.
