In honor of my younger sister’s bachelorette PAR-TAY this weekend I thought I would devote a little post to upping your sleepwear game because, if you’re anything like me, you’re rocking your husbands (not fitting) boxers and an old tee shirt. Why, why do we get in this (saggy) rut? No one thinks that is cute. So, not only did I go shopping for a beautiful piece for my sister, but I did a little updating for myself. Necessary since I was going to be in front of other actual human beings.
As apart of the weekend each girl has to bring up a lingerie piece for my sister but in an unlabeled box so the beautiful bride to be can guess who gifted her each piece. I hope I’m not given too much away here, but, I tried to lean on a more practical route…think less straps, buckles, and garters (yikes) and more sweet, effortless, and, well, in it for the long haul.
Gap Body has some absolutely chic pieces. You know I’m a sucker for stripes and, correct me if I’m wrong here, but a classic white shirt dress that looks borrowed from the guys might just be the sexiest thing you can wear to bed. Less is more, and this definitely has the whole I don’t need to vamp up to get attention vibe going on.
I ended up with this one for myself as the fabric is simply luscious and I’m debating about ordering in dove gray as well since I was scrapping the bottom barrel of items left appropriate to wear to bed. Rompers are so in right now, and this is one you can wear to bed in front of your husband, kids, friends, in laws….appropriate all around. And this piece is killer for those hot and sticky summer nights.
What do you think? Is your nightwear routine in need of a little shaking up?
