I hope everyone had a lovely father’s day!
Monday night will be our first dinner home together in 8 days – that’s a long time! I have a surprise up my sleeve for M. Homemade chicken pot stickers. Our good friend Catherine made these for us a few months ago and he hasn’t stopped talking about them since.
I’m still cooking my way through Curtis Stone’s cookbook and loving each and every recipe I try. Tuesday we will dine on this recipe, yet again. Have you tried this one? Perfect summer dish.
Wednesday is time for a summer corn pasta dish. Curtis has one that involves bow ties (love), thyme, and parmesan. You can’t go wrong with those ingredients. Simple and fresh – can’t wait to try this one out.
Thursday let’s go with chicken facile, it’s been a few weeks since we’ve had it and frankly that is just too long.
That brings us to Friday and to grilled ribeye steaks and green beans with roasted tomato vinaigrette and chili-gorgonzola buttter. I KNOW. Thank you yet again, Curtis.
Saturday I have my fingers crossed for Lou’s pizza in as I will be packing for SOUTH CAROLINA! We leave Sunday am and could not be more excited. A full fried chicken dinner complete with apple pies will be awaiting our arrival Sunday night. This is the just part of the crew I am lucky enough to spend the week with:
What’s cooking in your kitchen this week?

This recipe looks so yummy! I am considering running home to try this tonight! Yummy! Ok, maybe not tonight, but one night this week I will totally try it!
You are going to have a great time!! You had me at fried chicken though. π
I wish my husband liked shrimp, but I think I shrimped him out too much – I can get him to eat scallops though! π
What a great picture( both actually, but I’m referring to the fathers day one). Your week sounds delicious, I want to do the ribeye? Is it on a life?
Thank you for the inspirations!
Thanks Catherine! No, not on ALFS yet – if it’s a keeper it will go up! π
Delicious recipes as ever Miss C!
Beautiful picture of your crew and have a great trip! Have a slice of apple pie for me π
Xx
These pictures are gorgeous. You guys look like a J.Crew add.
You’re too sweet and I KNOW – sometimes I wonder how I married into what I did – crazy!
Courtney that picture of the guys is so cute! So are you on pinterest? I am obsessed with all of our traveling it is the easiest place for me to keep my recipes filled. If you are we have to follow each other! My new summer staple lunch for myself is arugula, shredded red cabbage, grated parm, capers, and lemon juice. Even Jack eats it after it has marinated enough. Plus it can stay in the fridge for a day. With all of our pool trips I am all about healthy food that can transported in containers! Love your blog.!!!!
Jenny!! YES – I am on pinterest through my blog, you can click the button on the side to find me and I’ll be sure to follow you! Your summer lunch sounds amazing, wow, I will have to try! Thanks for visiting – love ‘seeing’ you around here and on FB. Your family is just too cute.
