And we are deep into December. My goodness can you believe it? I’m not going to even utter how many days we have left until Christmas but it’s not that many. Deep breath.
You know what helps though? Planning. Each week. Just a few minutes. And to help, I have a whole brand new line up for you this week! Lots of great recipes to share and to help even more, because I like you so much, I’ve added a shopping list feature at the bottom of this post. So, like my line up and want to cook along with me? Awesome. Print it out and get to the store – let’s do this!
Sunday night we are having a cozy little holiday party with our close friends, Catherine and Jeff. Poor Jeff’s birthday always gets lost in the holiday shuffle each year so we’re going all out with his favorite: short ribs, roasted potatoes, and broccoli. Catherine is on appetizer duty and there might just be a special treat on order for dessert.
Monday night we are off to Grandad and Grandma’s for dinner. Rumor has it they have a few more ornaments to put up on their tree, can’t wait.
I love love love awesome soup recipes that can be made during the day and just warmed up on the stove later at night with crusty bread and a glass of pinot, obviously. A healthy lemony chicken greek soup sounds like perfection for baseball Tuesday.
Let’s see, Wednesday night let’s go with a staple. This sausage skillet recipe is in serious rotation in our home. Lately I’ve been switching up the swiss chard for spinach and it’s just as delicious.
There aren’t many vegetables I can get M to eat, but, green peppers are on of them. Hoping the whole family will enjoy these mexican stuffed bell peppers on Thursday. Come on, they will be bubbling with cheese on top! What’s not to like.
And that brings us to Friday. With crazy busy fun holiday plans for Saturday and Sunday, we’ll be staying in, relaxing in pj’s, and munching on our pizza in prep for the busy weekend ahead.
I so hope you’ve found a recipe or two for your family and, as promised, below please find my very first shopping list all ready for your use! Happy cooking everyone.

It certainly is baseball weather, isn’t it?! Right now I am making marshmallows with my kitchen windows wide open and I haven’t had the heat on in days – loving it!
Going to check out that Greek chicken soup – maybe picky Hannah will like that one if I chop the chicken so fine she can barely see it 😛
