C's picks. - A Life From Scratch.

Is this a familiar sight for any other moms out there? The funny part was that they were fighting over an item that neither of them like. Without fail, if L has something in his hands B will scream until he has it as well. He’s then happy for all of 2.5 seconds until he sees the next thing that L has moved on to. Sigh.

Alright – our line up this week! Here we go:

Sunday night we are off to a family dinner! Aunt Martha is in town all the way from NY so a dinner of lasagna and salad sounds perfect on a fall night. Joel Gott (our fav sauvignon blanc) will also be making an appearance. I’m in charge of dessert and with Halloween right around the corner, I have a spooky plan up my sleeve.

Monday M flies away to Vegas so I have a few nights on my own here. This is normally what I eat when he’s gone and it’s cold – I love it because it’s delicious but it’s a huge bonus it’ll help you slip into those skinny jeans much easier.

You’ve got to return home from Vegas to some comfort food – I mean, that place just sounds scary if you ask me. This hearty and healthy sandwich from Bon Appetit will help with that transition back to suburbia.

Thursday is HALLOWEEN! Yippee! We don’t have our plans totally finalized yet, but we normally enjoy a big pot of this bubbling on the stove.

Friday mom is going out – M, you’ve got the boys. Hope you’ve snapped out of your Vegas haze by then!
