Happy Wednesday everyone! Hope you can show off a cute look by commenting below or posting on Facebook. I’m not sure about you, but with the cold weather setting in I need even more inspiration to get out of the yoga pants and hoodies! Brrr!
Here are our looks from this past week:
L: He is cracking me up lately. He wants to wear a collared shirt to school every single day which is MORE than fine with me but he thinks they are flannels. Every morning ‘mom, make sure you grab me a flannel.’ Ok then! This weeks is from crewcuts. Abercrombie distressed jeans on the bottom (they have a lining so his legs don’t get chilly!).
B: Don’t you love his trick of standing on the bed? Sigh. I am obsessed with these striped pants. They are perfect for a few errands and bumming around the house, which is what we do most days. They are from the Gap. Polo tee on top, courtesy of L.
C: J Crew gingham shirt, J Crew leggings, Miz Mooz biker boots. And my best accessory – B, who is pretty much always on me.

I will go ahead and answer you here re: JCrew boots. I’m honestly torn on them. I need to order the extended calf variety which is why they’re my go-to for boots (they’re pretty much the only ones that carry them with the exception of a few random pairs I’ve found throughout the years – my friend has a pair of Fryes that are apparently wider and beautiful that I’m positively DYING for but they were last season and I can’t find them anywhere). Anyway, I have one pair of JCrew that I just dropped off to be resoled again that no joke are almost 10 years old, they were by far the best quality of any boots I’ve gotten from them. Then I have a pair that I ordered last year that are very eh and I’m looking to replace already. The black pair in the picture this week? They were purchased this season and this is take three. The first ones, the zippers broke, the second ones arrived with a scratch (unacceptable for that price IMO) but these ones seem to be holding up and are really comfy. So I guess it just totally depends on the pair. Honestly if I didn’t need the wide calf style I’d probably try other, more dependable brands/styles first…

A completely important topic – thank you for your detailed response! And I think you are right – totally depends on the pair. I LOVE the ones with a hole in it so I’m hoping a little repair is all they need to be good to go for awhile.
