Hey locals, have you been to Frank’s Karma Cafe yet in Wauconda? If you haven’t you are seriously missing out. M and I have been going there since we got married – that’s almost 9 years!
It’s a small, quaint, cafe that is serving up local and often organic food cooked from scratch. Their salads are amazing. Their sandwiches are amazing. Their soups are amazing. Their desserts are amazing. And now they offer food for the even tiniest of customers.
Andrew and Cliff, the owners, are serving up homemade baby food and get this! For a limited time customers of the cafe get to try the baby food for FREE with the purchase of a meal! All they ask is that you return the glass jar and lid so it can be used again. Smart.
B has already tried a variety of their foods. Pears, carrots, and his favorite – apple cinnamon pear. I barely blinked and the jar was empty!
Be sure to pass this on to moms of little ones that are looking to fill their tummies with yummy, healthy, from scratch, and organic when possible food. Pick some up today – and be sure to try their homemade lemonades….and pies….and english muffins. Sigh. See the problem?

Thanks for this C! As you know, I’m on the lookout for local places. We’ve lived in crystal lake for 8.5 years and never been there. must check this out!
We haven’t gone to Wauconda in ages – we used to love a pizza place there (I think on 176?) but it went out of business.
We live in Cary so we may have to head back there to try this place out!
It is a wonderful foodie spot…let me know if you check it out! Their chicken tahini wraps are to die for.
