So, I have something kind of exciting. I am leaving this week for CA – San Francisco for one night and Sonoma for the rest. I have never been! It’s the first time M and I have been away without a kid in tow in over 5 years. I guess it’s time. I am 50% excited and 50% anxious about leaving my boys. I hope once I’m there that anxiety will decrease a bit. I suppose the wine will help!
Needless to say my line up this week includes a lot of packing and getting out of here. I hope you have a wonderful week and you can follow along my trip, if you’d like, on Facebook. I’m sure I will run into a lot of delicious new ideas.
Have you been to the Sonoma area? Any recommendations for us?
Stay safe!
C

Ohhh, have so much fun!!! So jealous! Never been to Sonoma but if you venture over to Napa at all, definitely make it to Rombauer, our fav!
Thanks for the idea Meagan – will check out Rombauer if we can!!
You’ll love Sonoma! I prefer it over Napa. The town center is great with the city hall, park, and delis/restaurants/shops. Ravenswood and Sebastiani are my go-to wineries to visit. A relative and his wife recently went to the Lynmar winery (http://lynmarestate.com/) where they enjoyed a picnic paired with wines. If you can when you’re in SF, go to Beach Blanket Babylon (http://www.beachblanketbabylon.com/)- it’s unique to SF. Or go to a Giant’s game- the view of the bay is worth it along with the garlic fries.
Thank you SO much for the recommendations Lisa, it’s so beautiful here!!! You are spoiled π π

Have a great time! I’ve never been to CA either – the furthest west I’ve been is DesMoines, Iowa! Have fun! Love the new layout too. π

Eeekkk…..have so much fun! Mike and I were just in Napa for 4 nights in August. Pretty sure it’s Heaven on Earth. The wine, the food, enjoying the outdoors…Heaven. The thought about leaving the kids is the hard part. Once you step foot on the plane you will be fine! Cheers!
Thank you so much Jenny – how awesome you and Mike got to go as well! I’m a day in and missing the kids terribly but it is absolutely gorgeous here!!! Heaven on earth, for sure.
