Ah, another beautiful day in Chicago – WAIT! It actually is supposed to be above 60. Hey, I will take it!
It’s Sunday – that means L and I are off to Whole Foods Kildeer to stock up for the week! Here is what is cooking in our home this week.
We can’t NOT grill tonight, right? I’m going to check out what their friendly butchers recommend this week. Something with a hint of summer sounds nice, doesn’t it? A yummy burger perhaps? I will keep you posted.
I’ve been sick for roughly a week now but had too busy and exciting of a week to deal with it. I kept telling my body it was fine and running on adrenaline. We moms have to do that now and then, don’t we? Anyways, Saturday I crashed. The much needed antibiotic was finally working it’s way through my system and I was able to sneak in a two hour nap (!!!). I think that, plus this soup, will hopefully lead to a healthier week.
I think we need a little mexican Tuesday night – these never get old in our home.
Wednesday let’s finish up that soup, just incase the bug hasn’t fully gone away.
Due to another night out this past week I never got around to making this darling recipe, so that’s slated for Thursday evening as I still have most of the ingredients. Looks so fun for kids!
And that brings us to Friday. I have my fingers crossed for a date night, (hint hint). If not, this date night in pizza will do.
Oh and the cookies in the picture? I’m debating about finally divulging my secrets. I want you to be that mom – friend – dad – neighbor – girlfriend that does make the. best. chocolate. chip. cookies. ever. I know so many recipes claim it, but, I promise you this one is it. Bonus? It’s the easiest recipe of them all.
That’s a wrap. What’s cooking in your kitchen this week? And don’t forget to come back tomorrow – I have a pretty fun giveaway that I know you’ll love!
Eat up,
C

Lee – well, thanks? Must be the new concealer I purchased on Friday. I was tired of my 6 year old telling me I had ‘black’ under my eyes.
P.S. The product? Benefit’s Erase Paste. I am loving it!
Hey Lee, how about you hightail it to someone elses blog. Your negativity is neither welcome or needed.
