Aaaaaand it’s Friday. Whew. Deep breath everyone. December is so crazy isn’t it? On top of your normal tasks, chores, to do lists, and activities you have to remember that your kid needs to wear a hat on Dec 14th for holiday performance and your other kid has to wear green on Dec 18th and you have to donate to this teacher and that teachers gift and then wrap them up and bring them in and also bake cookies for x, y, and z and don’t forget the bus driver! And the mail man! And then there are the holiday cards that come in that you didn’t send to so you have to get those out. Letters to Santa need to be written and the prime rib needs to be ordered and you have to make it to the kids holiday parties because you are yearbook mom and dear LORD don’t forget to move that darn elf each and every night.
Sigh.
Anyone need a drink?
Yeah, me too. But not a fussy complicated one. You’re already doing enough in the kitchen with the excessive holiday baking and cooking. So let’s relax and keep this one simple. Minimal ingredients but oh so festive and pretty ones! Glass of champagne, splash of sparkling cranberry juice, a raspberry or two, and a sprig of fresh mint.
Done.
Just like your holiday shopping and wrapping. Am I right?
I kid, I kid. No worries – just pour yourself a glass of this Christmas champagne and get to it. Or get dolled up and get yourself to one of those fun holiday parties you have on agenda for the weekend. That sounds way more fun.
Cheers – happy Friday friends! Enjoy it.
